My name is Jenn (she/her) and I live in Huntington Woods, MI with my husband and our 2 kids (8 and 6). We love swimming, skiing, and playing in the snow together. I have been a Tinkergarten teacher since Summer 2019. I first learned about Tinkergarten when my older son was 18 months old. It was the first time I felt like a class was a good fit for my little active, out-of-the-box thinker and I fell in love. In addition to teaching outdoor parent/child classes, I am a pediatric occupational therapist at an outpatient therapy clinic and I teach at a local Reggio Emilia inspired pre-school. In all of those roles, I am passionate about guiding parents/caregivers to learn more about how their children see the world. I can’t wait to meet you!
“Jenn is the best and most engaging teacher. My kid warms up to her better than most”
“You can tell Jenn cares about her students and it's clear by how she comes prepared with learning materials ... which she invested personal time to construct or assemble”
“My child was very engaged with the activities - both during group time and during play time. He doesn't usually participate in group movements activities but today he did. During play, I think he enjoyed the freedom to explore in a contained area without too much adult direction.”
“Education begins the moment we see children as innately wise and capable beings. Only then can we play along in their world.” — Vince Gowman
